The central objectives are (a) to provide a synopsis of names of plant genera used in world-wide horticulture and (b) to act as a portal to other horticultural web sites that have further information on a genus. The content is not yet finalised, but this demonstration is made available for the purposes of constructive criticism as to the overall content and functionality of the pages.

Introductory and explanatory notes will appear shortly, but in the meantime you are invited to offer any comments on the contents of these pages by clicking the "Feedback to Compiler" link at the foot of any report page.

The compilation is very much "work in progress". Please do not accept the information within as being definitive until this website is formally launched in 2009 after a period of peer-review and internal consistency checks.
